Fishing Tackle and Bait

If you fish regularly the chances are you have a lot of fishing tackle. Lots of lures and always necessary hooks and dried bait; the list goes on and on.

The chances are you have your favorite lures you use regularly or you may have a lot of lures and seldom use them; using live bait instead.

I used to fish live bait exclusively but once I caught my first good size bass using a spinner, I was hooked (pun intended). I bought more lures and loaded down my tackle box. I also bought a lot of the bait you see at any good fishing store. In fact, I seldom fish with worms anymore.

But it is important to match your lures and bait with the fish you are trying to catch. Having said that, just because you are trying to catch a bass doesn’t mean you won’t catch another fish instead. That’s part of the fun of fishing.

Read what myself and other fishermen says work but, by all means, never be afraid to try out something different. My wife has rolled her eyes many times when I told her what I was going to try for bait next. Many times I’ve had the last laugh when I show her the fish I caught with that bait. Of course she only remembers the bait that I tried that didn’t work. :-)

I’ll give you some reviews on some of the advertised tackle as well and would love it if you would leave your own comments letting others know what has worked for you.
